Did you get a CZ TS 2 and want to fine-tune a few details so it fits your hand perfectly? Here is what shooters change on CZ TS 2 models most often and why.

What you can adjust on your CZ TS 2
Every shooter has different needs, whether in ergonomics or in how they shoot. Let's look at your accessory options and what you can adjust on your firearm.
Sights and optics for every occasion

You get a 1 mm red fiber optic front sight out of the box. The base CZ TS 2 features a black grooved fixed rear sight, while other models come with height-adjustable sights.
Some shooters swap the black rear sight for a fiber optic rear sight. In good lighting conditions, fiber optics help you acquire targets very fast. You can also choose a fully adjustable rear sight.
For longer range target shooting, shooters often choose all-black grooved sights (front and rear) so the glare of bright dots does not distract them.
Whatever you decide, find all sights for the CZ TS 2 series in the CZ TS 2 sights category.
What if you need a red dot?
Do you want to replace fixed iron sights with a red dot? CZ TS 2 models do not come in Optics Ready (OR) versions. Even so, you have two ways to mount a red dot without drilling into the frame.

-
Red dot mount
It replaces the rear sight in the slide dovetail. You can put the iron rear sight back anytime. Make sure you pick the correct footprint for your red dot.
-
Red dot side mount
It screws into the pistol frame in place of the thumb rest. The advantage is that the red dot does not move with the slide. It stays stable, and this setup is gentler on the red dot itself.
WARNING: You can install a side mount only on CZ TS 2 models that come with a factory thumb rest, which is not every CZ TS 2 model. You can check the exact list of compatible models on the product pages of each mount.

Thumb rest for flatter shooting
Now let's look at the thumb rest I mentioned above. Except for the base CZ TS 2, other models come with a factory thumb rest pre-installed.
A thumb rest helps control muzzle flip because you push the barrel down with your support-hand thumb. That lets you shoot faster.
In original and aftermarket parts, you can choose from different thumb rest angles (20.5°, 20°, and 48°). You can pick the one that fits you best.
TIP: If you are new to shooting, I recommend learning to shoot well without a thumb rest first. That builds proper grip technique and muscle memory. A thumb rest then serves as a real speed helper, not a mask for poor technique.
A thumb rest can stay on your gun even if you choose a side mount. You either buy one that screws into the pre-drilled holes on the side mount or use a slide stop with thumb rest.
Charging handle for fast slide manipulation
You can also screw a charging handle into the rear sight dovetail. It replaces the rear sight, so it works with a side red dot mount, not with a dovetail red dot mount. It lets you pull the slide back fast and comfortably before your first shot. A side red dot mount limits access to the rear and top of the slide, and a charging handle solves this well.
Magwells for faster reloading

CZ TS 2 series models have a factory-installed aluminum magwell for fast and easy reloads. You can choose from several shapes and colors in aluminum. A heavier brass magwell adds weight to the bottom of the gun.
TIP: If you shoot matches, always check the weight and size limits of your division.
Next to magwells, you will also find our base pads. All base pads fit the magwell, so you can use them whether you keep the magwell installed or remove it.
Grips for better hold and custom look
CZ TS 2 models take the same grips as the CZ Shadow 2. You can choose from many colors and checkering styles. Your CZ TS 2 comes with a magwell, so choose short grips. Long grips fit only if you remove the magwell.

TIP: Our shop also offers grip and magwell sets in matching colors and designs.
Aggressive checkering on the frame gives CZ TS 2 models great ergonomics. Some shooters like aggressive grip checkering, while others prefer a smoother texture. Choose whatever feels best for you in this area.
Some grips also come in different thicknesses (from thin slim grips to palm swell grips). That helps you hold the gun better if you have smaller or larger hands.
Besides better ergonomics, custom grips improve the look of your pistol. You do not have to stick to factory colors. Your gun is yours, and you can style it your way.
Choosing the right spring stiffness
Changing springs alters how the gun behaves when shooting, such as recoil, barrel dip, trigger pull, or reset.
Guns leave the factory set up to ignite hard primers reliably. If you shoot soft reloads, you can play around with spring stiffness.
Recoil spring
It pushes the slide forward. If you use a lighter one, you reduce the muzzle dip after a shot. But at the same time, the slide hits the frame harder, which causes more wear on metal parts and increases felt recoil. I recommend stocking up on buffers and replacing them during every major cleaning.

DPM recoil system
Another way to tame recoil is the DPM recoil system. It is a multi-spring guide rod set that drops right in place of the factory guide rod. It softens the gun cycle because the impact spreads across multiple springs. It is easier on you, the frame, and the slide, which extends the life of your gun.
Main spring and trigger return spring
They affect how your trigger feels.
The main spring drives the hammer, so it decides how hard the firing pin hits the primer. A lighter main spring also makes the trigger pull a little lighter. If you use a very light main spring with hard primers, you risk light strikes. Lighter main springs work fine with soft reloads.

TIP: CZ TS 2 models are single action (SA) pistols. On these, the main spring does not affect the trigger pull as much as on double action / single action (DA/SA) pistols like the CZ Shadow 2, but you will still notice the difference.
The trigger spring pushes the trigger forward. A stronger spring gives you a faster reset, but a heavier trigger pull. If you want a light trigger, get a lighter trigger spring. If you need a faster reset, get a stronger one.

What fits you best is what works best
Some shooters swear their tuning setup is the only right one. Do not let them throw you off. The best pistol tuning is the one that gives you faster, more accurate, or more comfortable shooting. Do you know what you need for your CZ TS 2 yet? Will it be a red dot, grips, or a new spring first? I wish you the best of luck on the range.
